  A Complete Sig From Start To Finish

Now we are going to add some text

I have lots of Fonts that I have downloaded from the net so don't worry if you don't have the one I use just use another that you like!

Make a new Layer: 'Layer - New - Layer...' (Shift + Ctrl + N) Layer 6 this will be

Select the 'Text - Horizontal Type Tool':

Select the Text name, type, size etc. from the top menu bar. I'm going to use a font called 'Angelina' in 'Regular' - '36pt' - 'Smooth':

Click on your sig where you would like your text to be. You will notice that this makes another new 'Layer' - Layer 6 - this will then change to what you type on your Sig:

Now to make it look a bit nicer I am going to do some 'effects'

With the Text selected in the 'Layers Palette' click on the 'f' at the bottom right and select 'Drop Shadow'. I tend to use the following settings:

The white colour looks a bit bright to me so I'm going to tone it down a little. To do this click on the arrow next to 'Fill' and move the slider. I'm going to reduce it to '70%':
